MAINTENANCE AND WARNINGS

BATTERY BLOCK AND THE BATTERY CHARGER (for 120v service)

A spare batter block "B" would make the charging schedule simple and trouble free: use "A" until the pilot begins to blink, replace "A" with "B" and continue the procedure, charge "A" overnight, mark "A" CHARGED the next morning and store as a spare.

Install the depleted battery block, into the battery compartment and turn OFF the main switch. When the charger is connected to the console and its power plug in a wall socket, the RED LIGHT on the charger will be illuminated, indicating charging has started.

WARNING: Regardless of the battery condition, the charger must complete a continuous 8-hour charging cycle, signaled by illumination of the GREEN LIGHT. Any interruption will start the cycle all over again. Finding your charger with the RED LIGHT ON after a charging cycle indicates that the cycle has been interrupted; disconnect the charger. A steady pilot light assures a successfully charged battery block when the main switch is turned ON. Avoid over-charging.
